History
Fromme’s calendar was a Viennese publishing staple. Moser’s 1899 sheet is pure Secession: flat colour, a symbolic figure, and lettering treated as ornament that still reads as type.
The title capitals are extremely tall and built from parallel strokes. The shop line under them is a thicker geometric sans that swaps V for U.
The scan used here is a public-domain reproduction of Moser’s calendar sheet.
